Troop Round Up 2014:
Over 5,500 Girl Scouts will attend a fun-filled day of exhibitions. MOWIT will have a booth at the event on October 11.
Sponsored by Tarlton, tradeswomen helped girls drive various nails and screws into plywood to create "nail art". The event was well attended.

Room Makeover Workshop Nov. 15, 2014
Fix up Wait Room of Safe Connections
Troop 3186 helped sand, paint, build, patch, and repair the waiting room of the wonderful agency Safe Connections, a non-profit that teaches about healthy relationships and provides counseling and other services. Total makeover included: 4-tree painted wall mural, new curtains, new pilliows, new couch, newly build wall desk, and repainting of room chairs and bookshelf. This event was graciously sponsored by S. M. Wilson Construction Co.

Currently, MOWIT is working with a volunteer board only. We are providing tradeswomen with support group meetings, job information and referrals, and maintaining a work list as a resource to the construction community. Our biggest mission in 2016 is to fundraise to send women to the Women Build Nations Conference, build our relationships with area unions, and host a one-day trades information conference for women, summer 2016.
